Doc is glad she doesn't make efforts to distract him on the way upstairs -- he's already on edge from having to make the trek across the crowded, unfamiliar bar. Climbing a narrow stairwell up to another floor sets more alarms off in his head.
He takes solace in the fact that she isn't worried. If she was, he'd be more cautious, outwardly.
He smiles, once she's opened the door and they've stepped inside.
"Seems y'got yourself quite a fine room, in this establishment," he praises.
